David Berman was a great song writer who killed himself. BUT he left behind one of the most profound YET bouncy/ poignant/ and unforgettable music albums with his band Purple Mountains. He was a smart man, deep soul, wordsmith and in my humble opinion genius. His music greatly affected my life and he is the topic of one of my Chicago Stories....hear about him now and some other fine gab on this podcast.
