And maybe that's the only goal for the day." "Always make it as small as possible." What do people need help with? What's on their minds? What are they struggling with? Participate in conversations. Create content that answers those questions. Align yourself with the audience. Marketing through two different pieces - Trust and Affinity Just start - Start somewhere that feels manageable and right for you. Set a tiny goal for yourself and do it every day. Make the promise to yourself to not break the chain; don't break the promise to yourself. "When I know what my goal is, then I'll figure out how am I going to measure that from an audience point of view." Build-in some kind of interaction in every email newsletter. What's the goal and what's the buddy action that will correspond. "Do less and obsess" When I was 20, I spent a lot of time in fear. To go from that to now standing in front of 1,000's of people at a time. The only way to get past fear is to just run straight at it. Don't let fear hold you back. It's easy to throw up a lot of roadblocks and its easy to say…well, I can't do that now because. But in a lot of cases, it all maps back to fear. So just being honest with yourself about what is actually holding you back and not letting those excuses get in the way. Because life will throw you as many excuses as it can until one of them sticks. And, then it's like, aha - I've got you.
