To mark the 19th anniversary of Guantanamo's opening, we held a unique event online with some very special guests. We were honoured to have with us Mohamedou Ould Slahi from Mauritania who authored his book "Guantanamo diaries" during his 14 years at the camp. His life is depicted in the upcoming Hollywood movie "The Mauritanian" starring Tahar Rahim and Jodie Foster. Abdulbasit, a survivor of Bagram prison spoke about the current efforts to secure the freedom of his brother Muhammad Rahim, one of the two last Afghans still in Guantanamo without charge.
