After 34 year old beauty therapist and mother of two, Novy Chardon went missing from her Gold Coast home in February 2013, her husband John wasn't even slightly concerned. He made sexual advances to her friends who came looking for her and didn't bother reporting his fifth wife's disappearance to the police. The day she vanished, Novy's divorce lawyer had sent John an email saying she wanted half his assets in the settlement. Interestingly enough, this is almost exactly what had happened before Chardon's first wife Maureen died of a suspicious overdose 17 years earlier. TCNT: Keely Johnston wrote to us about the Podcast, True Crime Campfire. Aussie As: The violent rampages of a Gold Coast bikie keep getting thwarted by bollards.
