Junko Tabei was a Japanese mountain climber who became the first woman to reach the top of Mount Everest in 1975. She loved climbing from a young age and worked hard to overcome challenges in a sport mostly dominated by men. Despite dangerous conditions, she continued climbing mountains around the world and inspired others to follow their dreams.
