Julian Gunder Bio Julian launched his first "business" in elementary school. He wanted to have all the latest and greatest toys that Toys R Us had to offer and thought of a way to get them without asking his parents for money. He and a fellow 5th grader sold their old toys to other students in the school and used that money to buy new toys. The resulting cycle solidified his position as the self-made toy kingpin of his elementary school. The San Diegan carried his affinity for business to Howard University, where he majored in Business Marketing. Just 10 days after graduating, he began a fulfilling career in Advertising with The New York Times and went on to work at The Economist and Black Enterprise, establishing a successful career in the media industry at a young age. Although he enjoyed working in media, his desire to inspire youth in low income neighborhoods to go to college grew until it reached a tipping point that resulted in the launch of his business, ILoveCollege.Org. As a result of being a long time youth mentor, Julian realized that students love fashion and music. So he decided to use those avenues to inspire students to reach their full potential. ILoveCollege Clothing and ILoveCollege Entertainment creates apparel and live events that bring out the fun and exciting elements of the college experience. Julian's goal is to change the negative mentality that too many students have towards education by making School Cool.
