He won a Comic Arts Award of Australia for Action Tank in 2021, when he was also nominated for the NSW Premier's Literary Awards, The Russell Prize for Humour Writing for Young People, and the Aurealis Awards. Action Tank was also included in the American Library Association's 2022 Best Graphic Novels for Children Reading List.
