Ep.004 Leah Davies- Pet Portrait Painter

Leah Davies is a pet portrait painter living and working in Boston Massachusetts in the U.S. She built up her portrait business to the point where she could take the leap to quit her day job in january 2014. While she says she still doesn't quite match what she made at her day job, she doubled her income from art that year, again in 2015, and she's on track to do it again this year. Leah is a self taught painter and marketer and I could tell she's given a lot of thought to what it takes to be an artist entrepreneur. I got to ask leah about what she carried into painting from her printmaking undergrad, how she made the leap to making art full time, how she finds her customers and how she keeps them so happy!
