《拇指姑娘》是《安徒生童话》中的一个小故事。讲述的是一位美丽善良的像拇指一样大的小姑娘，刚刚来到这个世界不久，就被癞蛤蟆劫走了，从此开始了她飘泊不定的流浪生涯。在一个寒冷的冬天里，好心的田鼠收留了她，田鼠的邻居鼹鼠想取她为妻，但是她不想嫁给鼹鼠，永远生活在见不到阳光的地下。在鼹鼠的家里，她以自己的善良和爱心，救活了一只快要冻死的燕子。燕子感恩他的救命之恩，就带着她离开了田鼠和鼹鼠，飞到了一个温暖美丽的花的王国，在那里他遇到了花国王，花国王娶她做了花王后，开始了她幸福的新生活。
